An Arm Lift, also called a Brachialplasty, addresses the loose, hanging excess skin and fat of the upper arm by direct excision. Liposuction may also be performed, in conjunction with the brachialplasty, to further contour and reduce the arm. Depending on the location and degree of loose skin, additional removal of the axillary (i.e. arm pit) skin and/or the skin along the chest wall and bra area may be necessary, as well. In the right candidate, a "mini" lift may be performed in which the scar is placed only in the axilla, remaining better hidden.
