Like the upper-inner arm, the inner thighs skin is prone to laxity and excess, requiring removal of this skin through excision. Liposuction may be performed in conjunction with excision surgery for further contouring. Depending on the location and degree of skin excess, a horizontal scar, placed in natural groin/labia skin creases may be all that is required. In more severe cases, especially after significant weight loss, it may be necessary to placed the scar in a vertical, up-and-down fashion, along the inner thigh.
